How to access the comments submitted to a Contribution under Remote Consensus?
From the Remote Consensus tab, click on the Remote Consensus name and the Contribution(s) under review will be displayed. Click on the hammer icon.
How to post a comment?
From the Remote Consensus tab, identify the Remote Consensus reference and click on the glasses icon to open the Contribution.On the top right of screen select the hyperlink Comment, enter your comments and click Save.
Can I upload a file containing my comments?
Comments/oppositions cannot be submitted by uploading a file. They must be entered in the box provided in the Remote Consensus tab.
Can multiple Contributions be added simultaneously to a Remote Consensus?
Hold the key CTRL and select all the relevant Contributions. Then click on Add.
What do the hammer icons mean?
These 3 types of icon identify Contributions submitted to a Remote Consensus and their status.
: Contribution(s) under an ongoing Remote Consensus.
: The Remote Consensus has ended and the results have been ratified or reviewed.
: Contribution(s) under a Remote Consensus that has been removed or aborted.
Why are some icons greyed out?
Greyed out icons () mean that the user is not logged in to the portal. Therefore it is not possible to open the Remote Consensus nor post a comment or opposition. Users must always first log on with their EOL account (top right hand side of the portal homepage) to be able to access any TB or ISG pages.
Can Contributions from other TBs, WGs or ISGs be added to a Remote Consensus?
Contributions submitted to Remote Consensus must originate from a single TB, WG or ISG.
There should be one Remote Consensus for each TB, WG or ISG and it is not possible to mix Contributions from the parent TB and a WG(s).
Who can create a Remote Consensus?
A TB/WG/ISG Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Secretary and ETSI Secretariat can create a Remote Consensus.
NOTE: A TB/ISG Chairman is able to create a Remote Consensus for WGs although a WG Chairman is not able to create a Remote Consensus for the parent TB/ISG.
How to monitor comments on a Contribution under Remote Consensus?
Contribution(s) under Remote Consensus may be monitored by clicking on Monitor in the Remote Consensus tab of the Contribution.
Each time a comment is posted or an opposition is raised, an automated notification will be sent by email.
It is possible to un-subscribe at any time following the same procedure.
Why is a Contribution labelled as "no show" in a Remote Consensus?
A Contribution will be labelled as no-show if it was not in Status Available at the start of the Remote Consensus.
Can a Remote Consensus be stopped once it has been launched ?
A Remote Consensus cannot be stopped after it has started.
However for exceptional reasons, a Contribution(s) can be removed after the launch by the TB/WG/ISG Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Secretary or by ETSI Secretariat.
How to subscribe to a Remote Consensus report?
By default, the TB/WG/ISG members subscribed to the TB/ISG mailing list will receive a weekly notification detailing the main events - start date, end date, comments or oppositions and the final ratification.
Is it possible to raise an opposition to a Contribution more than once?
A user may raise an opposition to the approval of a Contribution, clear that opposition and raise a further opposition (for example, detailing different motives).
However, it is not possible to raise several oppositions one after the other. The initial opposition must first be cleared (with justifications) in order to raise a subsequent opposition.
I changed my mind, can I remove my opposition?
You may clear your opposition in the RC by clicking on "Clear my opposition". Please note that you cannot remove completely your opposition, it will appear in the comments/oppositions history that you opposed/cleared your opposition.
Is there a mininum duration for a Remote Consensus?
The duration of the Remote Consensus is at the TB/WG Chairman's discretion and in regards to the Technical Body needs. There are however certain duration to respect depending on the RC content (For example: 30 days for a Draft approval; days for a meeting report; etc.)
